Peter Buckley Biography

Peter has been a coach for both individuals and teams in commercial, not-for-profit, and governmental organisations in the UK and globally for the past 27 years. 

His own leadership development has taken him from Military service in the '80s and early ’90s as an Army Officer to senior operational leadership in Acute Hospitals and, subsequently, Secure Mental Health environments before establishing his consultancy. 

Giving back to society matters in his work-life balance. Peter supports Windsor Leadership and works with young adults in the early stages of their careers, including those considering starting new businesses. 

His abiding passions are the real-world challenges individuals and teams face in understanding the rapidly evolving world of work and the interface between self, teams and the rapid adoption of AI. This includes reassessing their true purpose and decluttering the things that have been limiting their success and fulfilment. Concurrently working with executives not only to understand the fluid nature of this rapid change but to serve as enablers. For everyone involved, this journey is both cathartic and life-affirming, continually reminding Peter of the true privilege of being part of the journey.

He is a Life Fellow of the RSA, and a Visiting lecturer and career support mentor at the University of Hertfordshire (Master's and MBA programmes).

Living in France for the past eight years while working globally has given Peter a unique perspective on leadership and the marked cultural and societal differences influencing working practices. He has come to appreciate that while leadership principles remain consistent, their application can vary significantly across various contexts.
