Mel Robinson.

Cdre Mel Robinson FCIPD - Ministry of Defence, Royal Navy

Mel is a senior officer in the Royal Navy and is known for always combining her innate feminine, empathic and intuitive character with insightful analytical acumen. Her rigorous training from a 29-year career has been the cornerstone for her hunger and passion for developing and supporting others. Mel’s successes include being the first female to command a Royal Navy warship.

Now an HR specialist for the UK’s Maritime Reserve Force she was the architect of a three year transformational and strategic personnel strategy to deliver the Royal Navy’s people component of the Future Reserves Government White Paper. With full accountability for HR leadership and management of 4,000 Maritime Reserves she is always seeking to broaden an individual’s perspective using an eclectic mix of skills that she has gathered through her own personal development.

Mel is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, Executive Coach and a certified Master Practitioner in both NLP and Reiki. She is an alumna of Windsor Leadership having participated on the Women in Leadership programme.
