Melanie Robinson CBE, Consultant

Melanie is a distinguished leader with a 30-year Royal Navy career as a trailblazer and change catalyst in people strategy and capability. She was the first woman to command a Royal Navy Warship and, as Commander Maritime Reserves, the first woman to command a ‘fighting arm’ in support of the Fleet.  

In 2022, she was awarded a CBE in recognition of her contribution to advancing gender equality in the Royal Navy, and the ‘generational change’ in direction and management she brought to the Maritime Reserves. 
As an HR strategist, DEI thought leader, architect of future-state organisations, and driver of large-scale people transformation, she is a people consultant and founder of her Leadership Consultancy where she is a speaker, coach and mentor on themes of identity, personal branding, women in leadership, and diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. 

Mel is a chartered fellow of the CIPD, and a certified Master Practitioner in NLP and Reiki. She is an alumna of Windsor Leadership having participated on the Women in Leadership programme.
