CEO Announcement - Jo Youle OBE

Jo Youle OBE - Incoming Chief Executive, Windsor Leadership from February 2026

Windsor Leadership is delighted to announce that Jo Youle OBE will be the charity’s new Chief Executive.

Jo has had a remarkable career in the charity sector having led the charity Missing People for 13 years. She was awarded ‘Rising CEO’ by the Third Sector in 2014 and received an OBE for her services to the families of missing people in 2022.

Previously Jo was Director of Services at Missing People, served on the Board of Brook Young People for six years and as Deputy Chair until 2020, and was a Samaritan for 10 years.

Jo is an alumna and currently volunteers as a speaker and facilitator with Windsor Leadership. As an Executive and Team Coach, she brings extensive experience coaching leaders across business, education and charitable organisations.

Speaking about the appointment, Chair of Windsor Leadership, Helen Boaden, said: ‘In a very strong field of candidates, Jo stood out for her experience, drive and deep understanding of what makes The Windsor Way so powerful for our participants. She brings great integrity, shrewd insight and years of wisdom in how to grow a small charity’s impact and effectiveness without ever losing sight of its values. At a time when exceptional leadership for good has rarely been more important, she is the ideal person to take our charity to the next stage of its exciting development.’

Current Chief Executive, Jonathan Story said: ‘This is such a great appointment. Jo is a great believer in our ethos but will come in with fresh ideas. I cannot wait to see how she takes the organisation forward under her leadership.’

Commenting on her new role, Jo Youle said: ‘I’m thrilled to be joining Windsor Leadership as Chief Executive in February 2026. Completing Windsor’s Experienced Leaders Programme some years ago was transformative for me and has helped every step of the way as CEO of Missing People. I look forward to working alongside the fabulous Windsor community to support leaders across society at a time when it matters most’.

We very much look forward to welcoming Jo to the team next year.

The Trustees would like to take this opportunity to warmly thank outgoing Chief Executive Jonathan Story, who has expertly led the organisation as COO from 2011 – 2021 and Chief Executive from 2021. Speaking about his achievements, Helen Boaden thanked him for bringing about financial stability and programme growth in the aftermath of the pandemic, as well as ensuring a successful year of events marking the charity’s 30th anniversary.
