Baroness Rennie Fritchie DBE - Chair, Lloyds Bank Foundation
Rennie has not had a conventional career path. Leaving school at 15, marrying at 18, having two children and living in Turkey and America. She became a single parent at 28 and so began her mosaic career journey.
She is currently an Independent Crossbench Peer and a member of the House of Lords Audit Committee. She is Chair of Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales, Chancellor of the University of Gloucestershire, a consultant on Leadership and Strategy and an active patron of three charities.
Until May 2017 she was for seven years Chair of Nominet an internet company.
Rennie was previously Commissioner for Public Appointments for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and also a Civil Service Commissioner. She held both posts for seven years. In the NHS, she was Chair of the South West Region, a member of the National Policy Board and more recently, Chair of a Mental Health Foundation Trust. Rennie has undertaken a number of National Reviews and Scrutinies. She was Vice-Chair of a building society, Chair of a council and Pro-Chancellor of Southampton University and has seven Honorary degrees, she was also a member of the Penna Public Sector Advisory Board.
Rennie has been active in the development of women since 1977.
Rennie is an alumna of Windsor Leadership’s Strategic Leaders Programme (2017).
