Dave Lewis
Dave grew up in Sussex before studying law at Bristol University.
He joined the police in 1990 as a constable in Bristol and spent 30 years in a variety of uniform and investigative roles across several forces, before retiring as Deputy Chief Constable for Dorset, and National Police Chief’s Council lead for ethics.
He now undertakes a portfolio of roles which include: Non-Executive Director at the Human Tissue Authority, membership of the Home Office Forensics and Biometrics Ethics Group, non-executive membership of the England and Wales Cricket Board’s Regulatory Committee, and Chair of the Board of Friends of Ibba Girls School, a charity which funds and supports a school in South Sudan.
Dave is married to Jayne, and they have four children. He is a keen supporter of Reading Football Club, Sussex County Cricket Club and Bath Rugby Club. He also paints watercolours badly, sings loudly, and is a practising member of a local church.
