Karen Lund Biography

The Ven Karen Lund - Senior Leader, Archdeacon of Manchester

Karen is a Senior Leader in the Church of England and contributes to the emerging strategy and vision for the National Church. She was ordained in 1994 beginning her ministerial life in the Diocese of London, Rochester and followed by Chelmsford. She is now the Archdeacon of Manchester and has held this role since 2017 working in the North- West at a time of change and challenge in the church. Karen has always had a passion for people and loves most when she is able to support others on their spiritual journey, through preaching, teaching and example. Her Christian faith underpins her whole life and ethics. She considers herself a pioneer by accident and design, and appreciates the opportunities she has to model leadership as a UKME woman.

Her interests include basket weaving, horse riding and plant-based cooking. She enjoys the opportunities for longer walks when on holiday.
