David Stead - Non-Executive Director
David retired from executive life in 2015, after a career with KPMG, Boots and Dunelm. Since then he has pursued a portfolio career including NED roles at Card Factory, Joules Group, Naked Wines and the University of Birmingham. His background in finance has provided the ticket to sit at the top table in these organisations, giving him the opportunity to engage in the issues which really interest him: how organisations think about their purpose and their strategy, how they function, and how they motivate people (colleagues, customers, suppliers) to be part of their story.
David plays several sports (though close to retirement from most of them) and enjoys theatre, cinema and reading. He is also kept occupied by his wife and two daughters. The fact the two girls have left home does not seem to reduce their demands on parental time!
David is a double alumnus of Windsor Leadership having participated on the Emerging Strategic Leaders programme in 1997 and the Strategic Financial Leadership Consultation in 2010.
